What makes the story captivating?:
The story of a Japanese Scientist who patented 3572 inventions throughout his career with his unique & bizzare experiments.
Story:
Born in 1928, Dr. Yoshiro Nakamatsu was a Japanese scientist who made significant contributions to the world of technology. He studied at Kyoto University where he earned his doctorate in engineering. After working for a number of companies, he founded his own research institute in 1972. It was here that he began filing patents for his inventions.
Dr. Nakamatsu has patented over 3,500 inventions throughout his career. He was most well-known for inventing the floppy disk, CD- ROM, LCD Projector, digital camera, and other important technologies. He also developed a number of life-saving medical devices, including an artificial heart and a blood-clotting agent. Nakamatsu was a recipient of the prestigious Japan Prize and is considered one of the most innovative inventors in the world.
Nakamatsu's creative process often involves submerging himself in water for long periods of time in order to clear his mind and come up with new ideas. He believed that the pressure of the water helps to stimulate his brain and come up with new ideas. He had even gone as far as to say that, "The human brain is like a computer. Underwater, it can process information faster. He was known as a "mad scientist," but his inventions have helped make the modern world possible.
Nakamatsu also had a lot of unusual quirks, one of which was his calm room. This is a bathroom tiled with 24-karat gold, which he claimed to help him relax. According to him, the color gold has a calming effect on the mind and body. He also covered the floor and walls of his bathroom in 24-karat gold tiles because he believed that they block out radio waves that harm his thinking. He used to spend hours meditating in there, and claims that the gold tiles were instrumental in helping him come up with some of his most famous inventions. While it's difficult to say whether or not the gold tiles have had any real effect on Nakamatsu's thinking, it's nonetheless an interesting example of how he has used unorthodox methods to come up with new ideas.
Whether or not you believe in Dr. Nakamatsu's theory, it's hard to argue with his success. His inventions have changed the way we live our lives and many of them were developed while he was submerged in water. If you're looking for a way to jump start your creativity, maybe you should give underwater brainstorming a try!
